THE 2ND AMENDMENT
One of the biggest mischaracterizations from Republicans is that Democrats want to abolish the 2nd Amendment. Along with many other Democrats, I simply want common-sense gun reform to protect innocent lives in Indiana. I take gun safety very seriously and have taught my children to do the same. Unfortunately, we frequently see headlines about children being harmed by unsecured firearms, or teenagers using them for violence or self-harm. I enjoy distance shooting with my Thompson/Center .270 and want more gun education along with greater responsibility for storing them at home.
